Early in the morning, The Mouse Mansion already smells wonderfully of freshly baked bread. In her bakery, the baker is busy kneading dough, while Sam and Julia peek inside on their way to school. With this craft bundle, you can bring your own Mouse Mansion bakery to life.

Using the basic craft kit, you build a miniature shop by assembling the cardboard room and wooden furniture pieces yourself. Decorate the bakery with paper details, the high quality mini's, and use the polymer clay to create delicious little loaves, pastries, and other treats for the display window. The soft baker plush mouse completes the scene and invites imaginative play. This creates a creative combination of building, crafting, and playing, inspired by the stories from The Mouse Mansion book series.

About the Mouse Mansion
The Mouse Mansion is a world of its own, with over a hundred tiny rooms filled with houses, shops, streets and outdoor spaces, all mouse-sized. Each room has its own resident, with a unique story, personality and family ties. This miniature world is discovered by two mice: Sam and Julia. The everyday things they experience in the Mouse Mansion teach young readers meaningful life lessons. The Mouse Mansion is a safe haven, an inclusive world, and a story about friendship and community.

The book series now includes six richly illustrated titles of which two are translated to English: Sam and Julia and At the Theater. With each book, you’ll discover a new part of the Mouse Mansion.

About Karina Schaapman
The Mouse Mansion was handcrafted by artist Karina Schaapman (born 1960). She wanted to create a children’s book, not with drawings, but with photographs of scenes from her handmade Mouse Mansion. The story of Sam and Julia was already in her mind. What started with a few pieces of cardboard and some glue turned into a fully built world of more than a hundred tiny rooms. A world Karina would love every child to grow up in.

The original Mouse Mansion is three metres tall and two metres wide. You can admire it in person at the Mouse Mansion shop and museum on Muntplein in Amsterdam.
