Het Muizenhuis, ontstaan uit de succesvolle boekenreeks van Karina Schaapman, is uitgegroeid tot een internationaal erkend kindermerk met wereldwijde distributie van boeken, speelgoed, een animatieserie en webshop. Onze unieke museum/winkel op het Muntplein in Amsterdam vormt het hart van dit creatieve concept, waar de originele miniatuurwerelden worden tentoongesteld en dagelijks bezoekers uit de hele wereld ontvangen.

Als familiebedrijf met internationale ambities coördineren we vanuit het kantoor boven de winkel alle wereldwijde activiteiten. De winkel fungeert niet alleen als verkooppunt, maar als experience center waar bezoekers kennismaken met het volledige Muizenhuis-universum.

Over de functie
Wij zoeken een ervaren bedrijfsleider die volledige verantwoordelijkheid neemt voor de operationele leiding van onze museum/winkel. In deze strategische rol stuur je een team van circa 8 medewerkers aan en ben je eindverantwoordelijk voor alle commerciële en operationele aspecten van de winkel. Je ontwikkelt en implementeert strategieën om de omzetgroei te realiseren, optimaliseert klantbeleving en operationele processen, en speelt een cruciale rol in de verdere professionalisering van onze retail-activiteiten. Samen met het marketingteam ontwikkel je lokale campagnes en evenementen die de merkbekendheid versterken en bezoekers aantrekken.

Kernverantwoordelijkheden
- Volledige P&L-verantwoordelijkheid voor de winkeloperatie en realisatie van omzetdoelstellingen
- Operationeel management van het winkelteam, inclusief recruitment, planning en performance management
- Ontwikkeling en uitvoering van commerciële strategieën voor omzetgroei en klantbinding
- Organisatie van workshops en events als aanvullende revenue streams
- Strategische samenwerking met marketing voor lokale campagnes en brand activations
- Optimalisatie van winkelpresentatie, voorraadmanagement en operationele KPI's
- Coördinatie van facilitaire zaken, leveranciers en algemene bedrijfsvoering in het gehele pand (inclusief contact met schoonmakers, verhuurder, gemeente, nutsbedrijven)
- Dagelijkse zorg voor representatieve uitstraling van het pand: vergaderruimtes en gemeenschappelijke ruimtes netjes houden
- Fungeren als merkambassadeur en primair aanspreekpunt voor stakeholders

Over Sam & Julia (Het Muizenhuis)
In 2011 publiceerde Karina Schaapman haar eerste Muizenhuis-boek over de wereld van de muisjes Sam en Julia, waarin acceptatie en saamhorigheid centrale thema's zijn. Inmiddels is Het Muizenhuis uitgegroeid tot het internationale kindermerk Sam & Julia met een uitgebreid productaanbod dat kinderen stimuleert om creatief te zijn. Sam & Julia is een familiebedrijf onder leiding van Ian & Manita Schaapman (de zoon en dochter van Karina Schaapman). De producten worden in eigen beheer en onder licentie ontwikkeld en over de hele wereld in winkels verkocht (én natuurlijk in onze eigen webshops). Sinds 2024 is er in Frankrijk, Nederland en Duitsland een animatieserie op televisie over Sam en Julia, die naar verwachting in 2025 in heel Europa zal worden uitgezonden. Het kantoor van Sam & Julia is gevestigd op het Muntplein, in hartje centrum Amsterdam. Over de functie
Wij zoeken een marketingprofessional die kinderen en volwassenen wil inspireren om te knutselen en creatief aan de slag te gaan. Je helpt onze producten zo in de markt te zetten dat kinderen en volwassenen zin krijgen om hun eigen Muizenhuis-werelden te creëren. Op kantoor werk je nauw samen met onze ervaren e-Commerce Manager. Samen zorgen jullie ervoor dat geïnteresseerden in Sam & Julia een naadloze reis maken van eerste kennismaking tot aankoop en merkbeleving. Jullie delen inzichten, stemmen campagnes op elkaar af en werken gezamenlijk aan het verbeteren van de online presentatie en verkoop van onze producten.

Growth Marketing & Performance
- Ontwikkelen en implementeren van de groeistrategie
- Managen en bedenken van campagnes op Meta Ads, Google Ads, TikTok Ads en Pinterest Ads (in samenwerking met extern ads agency).
- Verbeteren van conversiepercentages door optimalisatie van funnels
- Opzetten en beheren van sales-gerichte e-mailmarketing in Klaviyo
- Continu analyseren van data om groeikansen te identificeren en te benutten

Social Media & Content Management
- Ontwikkelen van een content ecosysteem met bronnen uit het team, externe creators, UGC en de founder
- Maken van content met behulp van tools zoals Canva
